About

Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest of the Bordeaux family of grapes are grown all over the world. Learn Cabernet’s origins, other homes and characteristics. Discover how it varies based on climate, soils and traditions in various international regions through a guided tasting of 6 wines. Despite the differences you will find common threads. This class is a must for Cabernet lovers and those seeking to improve their wine tasting skills and knowledge.

This workshop may be taken as part of our Wine Grapes of the World Series or individually a la carté. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the full series if you would like to continue on.

Hybrid - Room/Zoom:  We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students. Both "Roomers" and "Zoomers" are able to engage with us, the speakers, and each other during the live event. Recordings are also available after the class. Make your format selection at checkout.

Guided Tasting Exercises: Students will enjoy guided tastings selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy and our Cellar Master to bring learning objectives to life and practice your tasting techniques. Roomers will taste in the classroom.  Zoomers will have tasting kits they can either pickup or have delivered for an additional fee.  View wine pickup and delivery options.

Those who would like to attend workshops online and forgo the wine tastings can apply “SKIPTHEWINE” at checkout to many online workshops for 40% off.  See All Web-only Workshops.

All attendees must be at least 21 years of age.
