The San Mateo County History Museum will be open without admission fees the first Friday of every month as part of its continuing “FREE First Fridays” program.
Located within the 113-year-old “Old Courthouse”, the Museum features exhibits related to the use of natural resources, suburban development, ethnic experience and entrepreneurial achievement on the Peninsula from the time of the Ohlone Indian through today. Docents will lead a tour of the Museum for adults at 2:00 PM.
The Museum will also continue its “Online FREE First Fridays” offering that day. At 10:00 AM, preschoolers may watch a Playing in the Past video and activity on our website. Each month there is a different craft and story.
The “Free First Fridays” program is sponsored by San Mateo Credit Union. San Mateo Credit Union members can receive 10% off in the Museum Store upon showing proof of membership.
