About

Celebrate the Year of the Snake
The new year is a time for cultural traditions, family gatherings, and hopes for good fortune in the coming year. From January 29 - February 12, 2025, the festivities will include displays of Filoli’s collection of Chinese art and decor throughout the Historic House, Asian art talks, Ballroom performances, and more. As you explore the historic House, look for vignettes celebrating the holiday, including a red envelope exchange and game of Mahjong. A special floral display inspired by Lunar New Year will accompany highlights from Filoli's Asian art collection, while citrus trees brighten the Garden House with richly colored fruit, a symbol of good luck and prosperity for the new year. Purchase general admission tickets here.

Ballroom Performance Series
Filoli’s Ballroom Performance Series returns January 29 - 31, 2025 from 7:30 - 9:30 PM with a celebration of Lunar New Year by pianist Connie Han. Han is heralded by Variety as “one of contemporary jazz's most talented and inventive musicians.” She brings her complex and charismatic style to Filoli for a special series honoring the traditions of Lunar New Year with a fresh perspective. Tickets are $75 - $105 per person.
