Lunar New Year Celebration 2025 in Redwood City

City Officials and staff will be joined by lion dancers, martial artists, taiko drummers, and other live performances, for this celebration of the Year of the Snake.

There will also be free admission to the San Mateo County History Museum where children can participate in arts and crafts.

The Lunar New Year is one of the most important holidays in Asian heritage, often celebrated with big family gatherings, gift giving, the eating of symbolic foods, and displays of festive decorations - all focused on bringing good luck for the New Year and celebrating the imminent arrival of spring.
