The award was presented at The San Francisco Peninsula’s Annual Tourism Luncheon on April 9, 2025.

Over a decade ago, the San Francisco Airport Waterfront Marriott teamed up with AbilityPath in a forward-thinking partnership that has since created meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, while also providing the hotel with a stable and dependable workforce. This collaboration has fostered a thriving environment where diversity is celebrated, and everyone belongs.

AbilityPath, known for its comprehensive support to individuals with developmental disabilities from birth through retirement, has played an essential role in the success of this partnership. The Marriott team has cultivated an atmosphere that emphasizes acceptance, respect, and inclusion for all, including those who are alternately abled. The result has been a transformative impact on numerous individuals, raising self-esteem and allowing them to contribute to society in ways that might not otherwise have been possible.
