Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory is one of the Bay Area’s most beloved not-for-profit theaters. We create live, award-winning theater and conservatory education programs from our intimate, 179-seat theatre in the heart of Foster City. Under the guidance of Executive Artistic Director Steve Muterspaugh, Managing Director Pamela Lampkin, and Conservatory Director Adrienne Walters, as well as a staff of dedicated and diverse artists, Hillbarn is committed to producing both classic and contemporary works, giving full voice to a wide range of artists and visions.
Our programming is driven by the founding ideal “To create theatre with the community, for the community.” Our productions explore narratives that utilize our intimate space, blurring the lines between the audience and the artists that results in the shared experience of empathy and education. By dedicating ourselves to three guiding principles—quality, diversity and community—Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory seeks to be the your artistic home, providing productions and programs that make an essential contribution to the quality of life in the Bay Area.
