Hiller Aviation Museum

  • Address:
    601 Skyway Road
    San Carlos, CA 94070

The Hiller Aviation Museum was founded by helicopter pioneer Stanley Hiller Jr. and opened to the public in June 1998.

The Museum can trace its origins to the 1970s. A group of eclectic aircraft, collected by Stanley, was gathered in a warehouse in Redwood City but only accessible to the general public by special appointment. The growing collection consisted of unique early aircraft, one-of-a-kind prototypes, and cutting edge test vehicles, some of which came from the Hiller Aircraft Company between 1944-1964 as well as other manufacturers.

Aviation Camp is open for enrollment throughout Summer 2022! Each week-long program explores science and engineering with hands-on experiments, flight simulation, up-close aircraft experiences and more!

The fun starts early this year with special Spring Break sessions of Extreme Flight March 28-April 1 and April 4-8. Nine different week-long camp topics are offered on a rotating basis this summer starting June 6.

Visit the Aviation Camp pages for more information about this summer’s program, including schedule and camp availability and the details for each camp topic. Registration is open with a generous cancellation and refund policy to allow for schedule changes. Make your plans today for a summer of high-flying fun!
