Small scale natural beekeeping
At Honey by the Bay, beehives are located in the backyards of the San Francisco Peninsula, mostly in Belmont and San Mateo. They keep their bees in a sustainable, treatment free manner — no chemicals, no pollination, no stress.
Hand-extracted honey
Honey by the Bay's small scale operation allows them to pay special attention to the detail. They don't mix honey coming from different colonies or apiaries. They extract and bottle our honey by hand, frame by frame, ensuring the richest flavor in every jar. The color of the honey reflects the nectar source and time of the year, when the bees collected it. The bees have worked hard for every drop of it, and Honey by the Bay does their part as well.
Check out their micro-shop, where you can buy honey, beeswax and bee products. They also regularly donate their products to charity and mentor fellow local beekeepers. If you are interested in learning more or have questions, reach out to Honey by the Bay.
