WAKURIYA is comprised of two words: one from “WA” that means “Japanese”, “harmony”, and “gentle” in Japanese; another from “KURIYA” that means “kitchen” used in ancient Japan. The restaurant's dinner consists of a prix-fixe, 9-course meal using the freshest seafood, poultry, meat, and seasonal vegetables. Reservations are accepted one month in advance to the current calendar date (ex. on January 5 we start taking for February 5).  You may call any time and leave a message with your name and phone number. Dinner starts at 6:30 PM Wednesday-Friday and 6:00 PM Saturday-Sunday.
